Taxonomy
I am highly distinctive and unusual resting with my wings folded longitudinally, so I look very much like a withered autumn leaf.
Common throughout Britain I breed twice in a year with my pupa sometimes overwintering.
I usually flies at night from May to October.
When I am a caterpillar, I can be either bright green or soft brown, with white stripes along my hips and white dashes along my back. I like to eat many plants including Oak, celery, dahlia, ivy.
