Female Orange tip on Cuckoo flower

I am a Cuckoo flower living in a damp meadow. I am related to the cabbage family and bloom in April, May and June when I get a visit from my favourite butterfly. Her caterpillars eat my flowers first then the rest of me including my seed pods but not my roots so I will come back again next year.

I am a female Orange tip laying an egg on the tight buds of one of the favourite plants my larvae like to feed on. They enjoy the mustard oils. My male partner's orange tips on his wings serve as a warning to others that he will taste toxic from the Cuckoo flowers sap that the larvae ate.
